Robert Colvill, Adviser
Robert Colvill joined the City in 1958 when he left school and spent the next 27 years in fund management and related areas working with Morgan Grenfell, Samuel Montagu and Chemical Bank.

In 1985, he joined Marks and Spencer as Managing Director to launch their Chargecard and the new financial services company and was in charge of the launch of the M&S Chargecard. He joined the main Marks & Spencer board in 1990, coupling the Finance Director’s responsibilities with financial services. He retired from Marks & Spencer in 2002.

Robert is currently the Hon. Treasurer and a Trustee of the RNLI. His past activities have included Chairmanship of the Money Advice Trust and Non-Executive Directorships of Witan Investment Trust and Eldridge Pope & Co plc.
